Eyelash extensions are fake eyelash hairs that are added onto each individual eyelash using a black glue. The eyelash technicians at salons like Bridal Hair Boutique that put these eyelash extensions on your eyes have received the required schooling and have passed their certification exams in order to do so. Since eyelash extensions are becoming more and more popular, many women have several different questions about them. This article will address 4 common questions that women have.

Do I Need To Use Mascara With Them?

The answer to this question is no, however, this doesn't mean that you can't use mascara if you would like to. The eyelash extensions are naturally thick and black, so they already have the look of mascara on them. But if you would like to make them look a bit more thick and full by adding some mascara to them, you can. You will just need to make sure that you only place the mascara on the bottom portion of the lashes, so that it doesn't come in contact with the lash glue. You are also going to want to carefully wash the mascara off using a wet cloth. You will do this by softly grasping the tips of your lashes, and running your fingers down to the ends.

How Long Do They Last?

You can keep the eyelash extensions on as long as you would like, but you are going to need to get them filled. A fill is when new eyelash extensions are added into the already remaining extensions. This generally needs to happen about every 2–3 weeks depending on how fast your eyelashes shed.

Do They Make My Eyelashes Fall Out?

Eyelashes extensions do not make your eyelashes fall out, unless you personally pull them out. However, you need to keep in mind that your eyelashes naturally shed, so when this happens, the eyelash extension is going to fall off with the natural eyelash that it is attached to. This is why you need to get fills on a regular basis.

Can I Rub My Eyes With Them In?

You should generally try not to rub your eyes at all when you have eyelash extensions in. Not only will this make your eyelashes fall out, but it will also irritate your eyes. You will instead want to carefully scratch your eye if you have an itch, or simply wash around your eyes when you are washing your face. If you are removing makeup, you will once again want to work around your eyelash extensions.
