Made for upcoming artists, a non-profit Copenhagen gallery for contemporary art.

Our aspiration is to create a community of artists and art lovers. For artists -- who have yet to become established, but share an unquestionable passion for expressing and absorbing emotions through art. And for art lovers -- who believe in paying it forward for an upcoming generation of artists.

Think of a gallery that is built for artists, and not for the gallery itself. Think of a non-exclusive, zero-commission gallery. Think of a place for upcoming artists with a potential, but who does not want to give up freedom.

An art community

We will do all what you would expect from a gallery. We will find walls to put your art on, we will find people for the openings, we will hunt for press coverage -- we will do what it takes.

But we will also try to build a real community. We will make the gallery space available for use as studies, for art workshops, for social gatherings, and much more, with the underpinning idea, that by spending as much time together among us and with what we love will challenge us, make us happy, make us cry, and eventually make us grow.

Pay it forward

We believe in pay it forward -- that the true gift is given with no expectation of reciprocity -- quite the opposite. And that is the essence of art -- real generosity with no demand of paying anything back, but with a clear expectation that whatever has been given will be paid forward.

We have a long way to go

While we will do all we can, we need your help. A community is more than two people, and it is more than the sum of its parts. It will require that you fight as well.

Conceived in the late summer/early autumn of 2008, we have a long way to go. We expect to open sometime during 2009, but until then we need space, we need artists -- we need help. Contact us.
